Exhibition “Blooming at the Junction” will present various pieces of the Korean modern art from the period spanning the 1970s to the present. Our collection at the exhibition presents diverse styles, including ‘Dansaekhwa,’ a unique monochrome painting style that has gained international acclaim. You will also find exhibits belonging to relatively new genres such as the Avant-Garde and Media Art. This Grand Opening Exhibition featuring the works of nineteen Korean artists will demonstrate to the participants a colourful spectrum of the Korean art, which embodies the philosophy of the nation’s ancestors and, in the meantime, candidly depicts the social injustices manifest in present-day Korea.
