Founded in 1965 in Seoul, the Korean Chamber Orchestra has established itself as one of the leading chamber orchestras and has given over 600 concerts inside and outside of the country, which highlights include the UNESCO Concert for Peace in Paris and ‘UN Staff Day Concert’ in New York where it was appointed an official UN Chamber Orchestra for Peace. The Orchestra had concert at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Tchaikovsky conservatory of Great hall in Moscow and Musikverein in Vienna total 4 times. Led by its Music Director Min Kim, Korean Chamber Orchestra will join hand with leader of the Basel Symphony Orchestra Korean talented violinist Soyoung Yoon and award-winning Hong Kong oboist Chi-Yuen Cheng to bring Hong Kong audiences the most graceful music in the festival opening.
